1947 Diamond T 404-H Rat Rod by Cale Lohr
This unique 1947 Diamond T 404-H rat rod was created by Cale Lohr and his team, transforming a relic into a head-turning masterpiece. The build is based on a Diamond T one-ton truck, integrating a 1995 Chevy one-ton frame and maintaining the original cab, hood, fenders, and grille, preserving the faded red patina for a classic rat-rod aesthetic. Under the hood lies a turbocharged 2006 6.0-liter LQ4 V8, prepared for high performance by Harrell Engine & Dyno, and paired with a GM 4L80E transmission. This distinctive build includes numerous custom touches, such as hand-made taillights crafted from CO2 fire extinguishers, a bed from a 1978 Chevy truck, and a Buick-green painted engine block. It rides low on Air Lift Performance airbags and features unique details like a penny-covered floor and post-WWII bomber seats. The truck has a powerful stance with dual 24.5-inch Accuride Sterling big truck wheels and Toyo Tires. It’s a testament to creativity and craftsmanship, capturing attention wherever it goes.
