1973 Jeep DJ-5 "Junkmail" by Jordan Fisher
Jordan Fisher's 1973 Jeep DJ-5, dubbed "Junkmail," is a radical transformation from its original postal delivery roots to a high-powered drag machine. Originally purchased as a $150 mail delivery vehicle, Fisher's DJ-5 now cranks out an astonishing 1,200whp, thanks to a 632ci big-block engine paired with a nitrous plate. This build is a testament to Fisher's engineering prowess and drag racing background, cultivated over years of working in high-performance motorsports. Fisher's expertise is evident in the comprehensive modifications his DJ-5 has undergone. Using a 1979 Camaro subframe as a base, the body was paired with a custom-built chassis featuring Chromoly tubing and a certified 25.5 cage. A narrowed Ford 9-inch rear and AutoFab Racecars front suspension components are paired with QA1 shocks, ensuring the vehicle handles well at high speeds. Interior modifications include a Kirkey seat, carbon fiber tubs, and two 10-pound nitrous bottles located adjacent to the driver. The build stays true to its roots with carburetion and nitrous oxide as its power source, further emphasizing Fisher's unique vision.
