1974 Datsun 260Z "Rocket Bunny Z" by Greg Petschauer

This striking 1974 Datsun 260Z, built by Greg Petschauer, is a marriage of classic Z-car elegance with modern performance and style. Unearthed as a barn find, Greg set about restoring and modifying the rare one-year North American special using his extensive skills learned from both familial influence and professional experience. Drawing inspiration from famous custom Z builds, he chose to integrate a Rocket Bunny widebody kit, offering it a unique silhouette that sets the build apart. In addition to the aesthetic overhaul, the car boasts a comprehensive mechanical update. The factory engine underwent a stage 3 build by Datsun Spirit, enhancing the original 2.6-liter L26 to a 2.8-liter stroker with an estimated 240 horsepower. The ride height and stance are perfected with Techno Toy Tuning components and an Airlift Performance suspension system. Complementing the widebody aesthetic, a set of staggered Rotiform LHR wheels provides a fitting finish, while the interior showcases a bespoke combination of black leather and orange stitching, meticulously crafted by Greg and his wife. This project took four years to complete and continues to evolve.
