1200hp Turbocharged Pontiac Firebird Formula Drag Build
This Pontiac Firebird Formula has been meticulously built by Justin Cavazos, together with Jason Flores of Straightline Performance, for no-prep drag racing. Starting with a bare shell, they added a ladder bar suspension and a Burkhart Chassis 9-inch rear end. The body features fiberglass components from VFN and a junkyard roof replacement. Powering the car is a re-sleeved 5.3-liter LS block with methanol fuel, a forged crankshaft, and a DS Racing 92/110 turbocharger, estimated at 1,200 horsepower. The setup includes a two-speed Powerglide transmission and a Holley Dominator ECU. The car's performance was proven with a personal best of 5.01 in the eighth mile.
