Alfa Romeo-Powered AUSCA Mk II Race Car by Horst Kwech
This AUSCA Mk II race car, powered by an Alfa Romeo 1.6L twin-cam inline-four, was designed and built by SCCA driver Horst Kwech in the early 1960s. Believed to be the only surviving example, the car was refurbished with a fiberglass body and repainted in green with white stripes. Notable features include a Hewland five-speed manual transaxle, Spax coilovers, and Panasport 13-inch wheels with Hoosier racing tires. It also has dual Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, VDO instrumentation, and a fire suppression system, making it a competitive vintage race car. The car is offered on a bill of sale with spare parts including an extra set of wheels.
