AUSCA Mk II Race Car by Horst Kwech
This AUSCA Mk II is one of three race cars designed by SCCA driver Horst Kwech in the early 1960s. It features a tube-framed, fiberglass body and is powered by a rebuilt 1.6L Alfa Romeo twin-cam inline-four, paired with a Hewland five-speed manual transaxle. Key modifications include twin Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, Spax coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, and 13” Panasport wheels. The car was refurbished after 2001, receiving a green paint with white stripes. It's equipped with racing essentials such as a plexiglass windscreen, a roll hoop, and a fire suppression system. The vehicle was built for racing, evident in its construction and modifications.
